Welcome
“As the car needs petrol to function so we need the Holy Spirit to be born-again and become children of God. This new life radiates the glory of God and changes us into His likeness day by day!”

Word
He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! … Amen.
Rev. 22:20-21
These are the last words in the Bible. For sure, the Lord wants us to have in our minds that He is coming again, and when He comes, He will come quickly. Three times in this chapter the Lord has spoken similar words,
Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.
Rev 22:7
Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.
Rev 22:12-13
These are variously spoken in the context of the whole of the prophecy of Revelation, of keeping the words of the prophecy of the book, and of rewarding believers for their life-long commitment and work for the Lord. Right throughout the NT we have reminders that the Lord is coming again, e.g.
For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be … Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
Matt. 24:27, 44
Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
John 14:1-3
And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven”.
Acts 1:10-11
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Saviour from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Philippians 3:20
When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
Colossians 3:4
For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord for ever.
1 Thess. 4:16-17
While we wait for the blessed hope – the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Titus 2:13
So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him.
Hebrews 9:28
Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.
James 5:7
Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.
1 Peter 1:13
And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.
1 John 2:28
Look, He is coming with the clouds, and ‘every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him’; and all peoples on earth ‘will mourn because of Him.’ So shall it be! Amen.
Revelation 1:7
The question is “Are we ready?”, Amen.
Quote of the week
“Bible teaching about the Second Coming of Christ was thought of as “doomsday” preaching…not anymore. It is the only ray of hope … shining as an ever-brightening beam in a darkening world.”
Billy Graham
Verse of the week
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.
2 Peter 3:10
Let’s Pray
Lord, help us to patiently wait for Your return, and in waiting, strengthen us by Your Spirit, so we may be faithful to You, to Your word and to doing Your work, in Jesus Christ, Amen.
