I came to Bethel Baptist Church in 2016. I had moved to Sutton and was looking for another church to attend, following the break up of my marriage. A good friend (Rhona) said, why don't you go to Bethel Church, the Pastor Harry Pritchard is a great man, he speaks things as they are and is 'real'!

Well that got me interested so I went!

At first I thought that it was quite a staid church, no clapping or Amen or Hallelujah's shouted but I sensed a deep commitment of the church members to their faith.

It took some getting used to and I felt a bit left out at first but over time I received warm welcomes and words of wisdom from congregation members. I was still in shock from the breakdown of my marriage and other issues, but what I came to realise is that I was welcomed and valued no matter what my issues were, I felt accepted.

I have grown in my faith and love for the Lord and have served as a Deacon now for the last five years, with one more year to serve.

I thank God and Rhona for leading me to Bethel Baptist and I also thank God for the guidance of a truly godly man that Pastor Harry Pritchard is.
