Welcome
“Each of us has different gifts and as we use them to bless others, we too are blessed. We experience blessings from above in this rich and abundant life the Lord has given us and who says to us, ‘when you seek me with all your heart I will be found by you’.”

I read this testimony recently about a couple working in an Islamic country, evangelising Muslims. It was illegal for Muslims to become Christians in this country. One night they received a phone call from the Islamic leader who was responsible for reporting and turning in anyone who left the Islamic faith. This person had heard that this couple prayed for people who were sick to be healed and that a number of people had been healed through their prayers. This person’s mother was very, very ill and reluctantly called on this couple to come and pray for her which they did and in front of several members of the family. The couple laid hands on the mother and nothing happened.
Next day as they were driving from the village to a large city their phone rang and it was the Islamic leader telling them that after they prayed the mother grew worse and they had to take her to the city hospital and all the family were critical of the fact that they allowed atheists (what they regarded Christians as) to pray for their mother. The couple were confused as to why the Lord had, not only not healed the mother, but allowed her to become even more ill.
It was then that the Holy Spirit told them to drive to the city hospital and pray again for the mother. They obeyed but this time the whole extended family was present, over forty people in the room and hallway. The mother was now critically ill and not expected to live. Amazingly, the family did not object as the couple again laid their hands on their mother and prayed in Jesus name for her to be healed. This time she was healed instantly!
Later, on their way home the Holy Spirit told the couple that by not healing her the first time many more of the mother’s family saw the miracle and the power of God operating in Jesus’ Name. God’s ways are truly past finding out at times, all glory, praise, and honour be to Him, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Amen!

Verse of the week
Jesus said: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30
Let’s Pray
Heavenly Father, we come to You as we are. For those who are weary, we pray for Your strength; For those who are unwell, we pray for Your healing; for those who are so very busy, we pray for Your guidance; for those who are mourning, we pray for Your comfort; for those who are rejoicing we pray for further blessing; For everyone, we pray that we might know
You more deeply. Come Holy Spirit, in Jesus Christ’s Name, Amen.
