Welcome
“Those who are worthy will walk with Jesus dressed in white (Rev. 3:4), symbolising His purity. By His grace we are clothed in Christ’s righteousness. Praise God for His Son who died that cruel death in our place that we might be saved who believe. All glory to Him always.”

Prayer for Healing
“I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done – by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way round to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.”
Romans 15:18-20
Here the apostle speaks of ‘fully proclaiming the gospel of Christ.’ That full proclamation not only includes preaching about the forgiveness of sins, and new life in Jesus, but also of signs and wonders, such as miracles of healing in the power of the Spirit of God. This is the full proclamation!
Today, many of us fall short of this, content with seeing people saved from their sin. But the word for “save” in the original also includes this dimension of a sick person being saved from physical sickness, of being healed. Of all the evangelistic ministries that I have read about, and which I have had the privilege of hearing, preachers such as Billy Graham, Luis Palau, Reinhard Bonnke, etc., as well as those on TV programmes such as The God Channel, the one that I found nearest to the example of Jesus and the full proclamation of the gospel, was Reinhard Bonnke. It is reported that more than 79 million people were saved under his ministry which also included a ministry of healing, raising the dead and deliverance. He worked mainly in African countries and at one rally in Nigeria’s capital, Lagos, in 2000 AD, 1.6 million people attended. Praise God for all ministries in which Jesus Christ is exalted and preached as “the way the truth and the life.”
Each one of these ministries has their critics, and yet the fact is that people were saved and are, as a result, either in heaven now or on their way. After Bonnke preached the stage would also be littered with crutches, wheel chairs, of people no longer needing them. People who were once blind, now able to see, the deaf able to hear. But he also preached in many other nations including England. I personally met one lady, Jean Neil, who was healed of a spine injury, of 25 years living in pain and having to use a wheelchair. Watch the video here.
God wants to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine (cf. Eph. 3:20), but we change this into, God always wants to do less than we ask or imagine. I repent of my thinking like this and pray that the Spirit of God would enlighten the eyes of my heart in order that I may know His incomparably great power for us who believe (cf. Eph. 1:18-20). What about you?
Quote of the week
“Divine healings were signs and wonders to confirm the preaching of the gospel.”
Reinhard Bonnke
Verse of the week
Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
Mark 16:20
