Nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:39
No matter what we feel like; no matter how much we doubt God’s love for us, don’t believe God loves us, and anything else we want to throw into the mix, such as I don’t deserve God’s love; How can God love me? We can fill a page with such objections but the fact is and we need to say it loud and clear!!!

Have you noticed how when the Scripture speaks of God’s love it’s often in very extravagant terms, e.g.
I have loved you with an everlasting love.
Jeremiah 31:3
God so loved the world …
John 3:16
… God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit …
Romans 5:5
we could fill a page … and this is why the apostle Paul prays like he does in Ephesians:
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fulness of God.
Ephesians 3:17-19
Paul asked the question
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Romans 8:35
Then provides a long list of things people might say might separate us: trouble, hardship, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger, sword, death, life, angels, demons, the present, the future, powers, height, depth, and anything else in all creation, – his answer –
NOTHING SHALL SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD WHICH IS OURS IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD!

If we still doubt it, take another look at the cross, Amen!”

Let’s Pray
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your amazing love that You have poured into our hearts by Your Holy Spirit whom You have given us. Lord that we might know something more of the length, breadth, height, and depth of Your love that surpasses knowledge, and that we might put this love into practice more and more, by loving one another more and more, even loving our enemies more and more, in and through our loving Lord, Saviour, and Friend, Jesus Christ, Amen!
